Squash & Racketball

Welcome to the Woodford Wells Squash and Racketball Section

The Squash and Racketball section of the Woodford Wells Club caters for players of all standards and has over 140 active members. Squash has been played at the Club for many decades and racketball has become increasingly popular over recent years.

There are 4 courts, one of which is a glass back with seating, and there is a viewing gallery for all courts.

During the Winter season the club runs four men’s teams and one ladies team in the Essex and Middlesex leagues. In the Summer season one mixed team is entered into the Essex Summer league.

There are internal leagues for both squash and racketball which cater for all abilities, ages and fitness levels.

A squash social night is held every Friday night from 6.20pm, which caters for squash and racketball players of all ages and standards. The club night is very popular and regularly attracts a large number of team, league and social players which gives players of different standards the opportunity to play each other and improve. The social night is usually followed by a few drinks in the Club bar. It provides a great way for new members to meet club members in a relaxed and friendly environment.

The Club has 2 accredited squash coaches who are available for individual and group coaching sessions.

We have a thriving junior section with junior sessions run by the Squash chairman and PSA Level 2 accredited coach, Kevin Pearce. These are Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5-6pm and Saturday mornings from 10.30 – 12.30pm
