CRICKET

The Woodford Wells Cricket Club was the founding sport of the club and has been established since 1865.
We run four senior teams the first three of which play in the Hamro Foundation Essex League and the Fourth in the Herts & Essex Border League. One Sunday team and a large and flourishing junior section, with colts ranging from age 7 – 16. In total we have over 200 members.
We have a strong history in Essex Cricket and our first eleven have been crowned County Champions on 4 occasions in 1986, 1987, 1989 and 1994.
We are very proud of our facilities and make significant investment ensuring they are of the highest standards. We have two grounds both of which have electronic scoreboards and 3 artificial nets.
We aim to ensure that every person, including players of all experience and ability, can play and become involved in the game in a fully structured. organised and resourced club environment.
If you want to play at a lovely ground, with great practice and playing facilities, potentially the best in Essex, with a sociable group who play competitive cricket, please contact us.
